CO₂e emissions and climate neutrality
The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) stands out for its initiatives in energy efficiency and sustainable development, undertaking actions that contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions and aiming to achieve climate neutrality. An important part of its strategy is the accurate recording of the institution’s carbon footprint, so that targeted emission reduction measures can be taken. The analysis is not limited only to electricity and thermal energy consumption, but also includes other important sources of emissions, such as student and staff travel, strengthening the holistic planning for a greener and more sustainable transition.
