Research initiatives and funding for sustainable development
At the National Technical University of Athens, a significant part of the research activity is dedicated to projects that promote sustainability. These cover a variety of topics, such as energy efficiency, the adoption of renewable energy, the sustainable management of environmental resources and the promotion of the circular economy.
Among the projects that stand out are the upgrade of energy infrastructure in energy-intensive sectors of industry and transport, in buildings, the improvement of water recycling in industry, the application of artificial intelligence in additive manufacturing, the development of sustainable manufacturing and material recycling techniques.
These initiatives reflect NTUA’s commitment to finding solutions that will help shape a sustainable future, combining scientific research with environmental sensitivity.
